This pier is typically not as crowded as the other piers of Orange County which makes it more peaceful here. The original pier here was built in 1928 but was destroyed during major storms in 1939 and 1983 just like Huntington Beach Pier. Amtrak train tracks run along the beach with a stop right at the base of the pier.
