Best Halloween Activities in 2025

Haunted Car Wash
October 53rd - November 1st
Created in 2020 in an effort to keep Halloween going while also being safe during the pandemic, a family created a haunted car wash in Huntington Beach which became a big hit! It has been such a big hit that they moved to a bigger location in Anaheim. It's more than what you think, it's not just simply driving through a car wash and having a couple monsters inside, it's a full on scare zone before you even get into the car wash as well! Priced at $30-$40 per vehicle, it's actually a great deal since you're getting a full car wash and that price is not per person, it's however many people you have in your vehicle. Different than other places with monsters, these ones really interact with you so you may want to lock your doors (or leave them unlocked to see what happens). This is really unique experience that is worth doing, maybe even a few times throughout the month!

Irvine Park Railroad
September 13th - October 31st
Weekdays 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Weekends 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Located inside Irvine Regional Park, this is a great place for families to visit during October since there's a lot of fun activities for kids! During the month of October, you'll find a pumpkin patch, train rides, hay rides, haunted house, face painting, games with prizes, cookie decorating, hay maze, and more! There is a charge for most of the activities but entry is free. It costs $3-$5 per vehicle for entry into Irvine Regional Park. During weekends, you will need reservations if you plan on riding the train because it sells out weeks in advance.

Tanaka Farms
September 12th - November 2nd
One of the only pumpkin patches in Orange County that you actually pick from where it was grown! These pumpkins were not hauled in from another place and when you buy pumpkins here, you're supporting a local family farm that has been here here for several generations. Tanaka Farms is open year-round but during October, they really step it up with some cool activities for families. You can launch a pumpkin from an air-powered canon, take a wagon ride, and get some tasty eats! Prices are $6 per person and parking is $10 per vehicle.
