At over 500 acres, The Great Park has lots of space with lots of activities! The most iconic activity is the balloon ride which takes people 400' into the sky for an amazing view of not only Irvine but the ocean, San Gabriel Mountains, and even Downtown L.A. This park also features Wild Rivers Waterpark, Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, soccer fields, baseball fields, playgrounds, and lots of open areas. Since this park is new and was developed where the former El Toro Marine Base was, there is lots of remnants of that history that is included here. Several of the original hangars and a taxiway which is now a long walkway through the park.
