Old Towne Irvine

Founded in 1887, the town of Myford was a large farming operation owned by the Irvine Family which the town would soon be named after. In 1889, the Santa Fe Railroad laid tracks through the town and soon after, a barley warehouse was built next to the train depot here. This town, now known as Irvine served as a place for farm workers to live life. A hotel, general store, blacksmith's shop, and employees bungalow were built here.

Over time, the farms turned into housing developments and Irvine eventually became a city and this main hub was no longer the center point of the town. The facilities still standing have all been converted for current use and are kept up very well to preserve their history. The bean warehouse/silo was converted into the La Quinta Hotel and various small businesses also use these buildings.
