This jail was built in 1908 when the population of Huntington Beach was only around 1,000 people. People mostly ended up in this jail from gambling or drinking alcohol. If you walk down the alley and across the street, in front of the antique store is where you can find steel rings that were used to tie up horses, they have managed to be saved even as the sidewalk was created around them.
