This stretch of beach can be very peaceful as most of the crowds prefer to go closer to Huntington Pier. Sunset Beach has more of a small town vibe and is tucked away in the northwest corner of Huntington Beach. There is 1.5 miles of sandy beach which is perfect to lay out on and swim at. The view of Palos Verdes. There are lifeguard towers located along the entire stretch of beach which are usually staffed, more so in the summer time. Parking here is mostly metered with some unmetered spot as well. Other things you can do while parked in the same spot is take a nice walk along the green belt or rent paddle boards and kayaks across the street at OEX
