If you're willing to walk down a steep paved path for about a 1/4 mile, you'll be rewarded with Salt Creek Beach which has a nice partially sandy/partially rocky beach surrounded by beautiful cliffs. This beach features restrooms, showers, picnic tables, a half basketball court, a concession stand (seasonal), and a huge grass area which is nice to lay out on if you want to get off the sand. A few times a year, OC Parks hosts a concert here on the grass lawn as well. There is a large parking lot here which usually has plenty of space except on hot summer weekends when it can fill up.
