Wildlife

Orange County is home to many native and migratory species, more than most people know. Orange County's wilderness areas and marshes play a vital role to the ecosystem. Some species have already been eliminated from it like brown and black bears but what we have left, we need to take care of as we share the land with the original inhabitants. The following animals are what we see in Orange County. This list is new to the website and is currently being updated but feel free to browse around and check back later when this is all finished. All animal photos listed here were photographed by Mark Girardeau except for the Sea Otter and Coast Horned Lizard.
