Best things to do for the holidays around OC
Electric Noel, Norco
While it's just outside Orange County, this is a fun event for the family to stay in the car and experience a wonderful array of Christmas lights that are synced to music as you drive through and listen to their radio station. For more info, visit Electric Noel.
Holidays At The Harbor, Dana Point
This display takes place in Dana Point Harbor near Dana Wharf Whale Watch from November 11th through January 3rd. There are several well done light displays including a whale and a tunnel. You can also take a boat ride with Santa aboard Dana Wharf. November 11th - January 3rd
Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade
While "officially" cancelled this year, the show will still go on with lots of very well decorated privates boats and yachts. This year marks the 112th annual Christmas Boat Parade. For viewing locations, Marina Park and Balboa Island are the best spots. You can also book cruises to tour the harbor and see the very well decorated house lights with Newport Landing who is the official sponsor and Christmas Light Cruise tour. The parade goes from December 17th to December 20th and begins at 6pm and ends around 9pm.
Newport Dunes, Newport Beach
A great place to park and walk along the bay to see this amazing display of Christmas and Chanukah lights. This is an open air environment that is typically not crowded and has lots of space to walk around. These lights are visible from the car in their parking lot but you can also get out and walk along the sand or surrounding sidewalk to see this display. Great photo opportunities can be found here around sunset and at night with lots of different angles. More info can be found on Newport Dunes.
Night Of Lights OC, Costa Mesa
Take a 1 mile drive through over 1 million lights synced to music at OC Fairgrounds for this incredible display. For more info, visit Night Of Lights OC. In previous years, this was known as Winter Fest OC but due to this years pandemic, safety measures turned this fun family event into this amazing drive-thru experience. (December 10th-January 10th)
