Also known as San Juan Hot Springs, this is very unknown to most people in Orange County as it is very hidden from wandering eyes. Although it's actually located adjacent to Ortega Highway, it lies within Caspers Wilderness Park but you have to hike about 12 miles round-trip to get to it. This area has a vast history dating back to The Juaneno People. For a while, it turned into a resort with a pool house and several hot mineral tubs. Fires destroyed the buildings and Ortega Highway was adjusted and paved which cut right through area. After the springs were abandoned, it became a party destination and later was taken over by OC Parks who now keeps it descrete to maintain it's history and safety.
