White-tailed Kite

White-tailed Kite

Given its name because of the way it hunts, a white-tailed kite will hover by flapping its wings rapidly to holds its position while it looks down over their next potential meal. They will typically be found working the open fields where they can easily hunt mice. They are mostly white with some black on their wings which is hard to miss.
